Don't sign with homeguide.com for contractor leads. The leads are not vetted and most phone numbers are bogus.
They charge you an arbitrary fee if you accept a lead and before you make contact. I was recently charged about $100 for a kitchen remodel lead. The lead went nowhere. Text messages and voicemails.
Nothing.
You get texts and emails from them constantly to make that click so they make billions. They trap and rape you of your $.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with partial refund. The company reissued most of the lead cost through reimbursement. Keep photos of your records and report them to the right consumer advocacy groups.
HomeGuide just decided to run charges on my card without my expressed consent. They did not provide me with any notices on the card and provided no means for me to directly contact the company.
None of the leads have ever responded back, and they have almost been bad leads. They're charging me 51 dollars for my last lead.
I am challenging them on fraudulent charges as I did NOT give expressed consent to these leads. They told me I wouldn't be charged unless I directly responded to them in messenger!

I fully understand that you have to pay for leads on these apps. I had actually forgotten about it.
Never used it!! They have charged me 5 times for one lead when I have tried to reach out and message back.
Somehow she never responds and i get charged again when she gets back on. Its frustrating

I've been with Homeguide several years and has just started using the regularly. Of maybe 5 leads over a 30 day period, one was valid.
The others had bas contact info. I requested several refunds which always took more than 48 hours for a response. Yesterday I had a $21 balance which I asked to be refunded due to their horrible service.
Today the account shows$1 with absolutely no explanation. This company is as close to a scam as I've ever seen.
User's recommendation: There are better lead services available. Dont waste your money with these clowns.
Tired of being ripped off by this company
They have sent 3 to 4 bad leads and have direct charged me. I report the bad leads and no action taken.
Now I just want my balance refunded. This is by far the worst lead service I've ever wasted my money with.

I had joined home guide so that I could get some more clientele with my cleaning business. Everything's been going great for a while and now all the sudden this is the third time I've been charged for a lead for the same exact person. I would like my money back so if leaving a bad review is the only way I'm going to get my money back then so be it.

Every lead we paid for led to either a disconnected number or straight to voicemail. The one response we did get was from an individual claiming they never submitted a request for our services and was confused as to how we even got their number. We are extremely disappointed and frustrated with this company which has done nothing but steal our money for fraudulent leads.

call your states attorney general. all AG send the businesses a letter along with your complaint and they give the company 30 days to resolve and they will contact you to see if you got your refund.
If no then they will get them to give it to you or they will be in court. The Attorney General does not play. I have used them for thumbtack when they did that to me and I got my money.. and if you paid with credit card you can call them and tell them what happened and they too will do a charge back.
let EVERYONE in here know the attorney general is your way to absolutely get your money back. Every state has an attorney general. Put them to work for you. I use them any time I get ripped off and it gets resolved.
Not 1 time have I ever not won with them. You're welcome.
